The Tall Flower Vase is a sculptural vase and the first piece in the collection. Like most of the vases it is created from pure intuition. It is a very elegant vase with its tall and slender neck that forms into a flower head at the top. The clay used for this piece is a stoneware clay added finely divided firesand of 0-1 mm for a medium rough textured surface. It has a matte surface and is raw and unglazed. The stoneware naturally fires to a warm tone of brown on a slow burning curve at a high temperature. The Tall Flower Vase also comes in cream in a bit more angular look and coarser surface. It can be used for minimal floral arranging or as a sculptural element for the home, with its distinctive yet soft silhouette. Each piece is carefully created by hand with precision and personality and is a unique one of a kind.

– The vase is watertight.
– The product is made to order: lead time of 20-24 weeks.

When placing an order, Malene Knudsen collects the following information: name, address, e-mail, phone number and payment information. This information is only collected in order to process your order and to ensure the best possible service. All personal information saved at the site will be handled with respect and care and your data is kept for 5 years after you place your order.

In general, Malene Knudsen does not transfer your personal data to a third party without your consent. When paying your order, your payment is handled safely by Stripe Payment Services to process payments for online purchases. For security reasons, Malene Knudsen does not store any payment information in the database.

If you have chosen to get your order shipped to you, your name, address, phone number and e-mail will be informed to DHL to handle your order successfully. DHL is committed to keep your data safe as well. The information is used to ensure careful shipment of your order and contact to you with order confirmation and tracking number.


Your right to access

Generel information

Welcome to Malene Knudsen website. These terms and conditions apply to any purchase made from maleneknudsen.com. When placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions. Please carefully read the terms and conditions before placing your order.

Orders

Once you have requested an order, you will receive a confirmation of your order request by email. Please note that this is not the final order confirmation. The order is not binding until it is approved by Malene Knudsen. You will receive an order and shipping confirmation with estimated time of delivery by email. If, for any reason, Malene Knudsen is unable to fulfill your order, you will be informed at the earliest opportunity. If Malene Knudsen has already received payment for such order, the corresponding amount will be refunded using the same method used to make the payment. If, for any reason, alternative arrangements are necessary, you will be contacted to settle the refund.


Prices and payment

All prices are indicated in EUR and 5% Danish sales (artist) tax/VAT is included. Delivery charge or local customs fee, tax and duties are not included. Please note that if your order is placed outside the EU you may not have to pay the Danish sales tax/VAT, which could be refunded from the Danish authorities, but you may have to pay additional customs fee, tax and duties in the country of destination. Malene Knudsen is not responsible for these or for any fees charged by customs. The carrier will contact you in case of any extra charges or customs clearance. This might delay the delivery. Please be advised that it is your responsibility to pay for these extra charges and to get the refund of the Danish sales tax/VAT from the Danish authorities.


Delivery and shipping 

All pieces available for purchasing at maleneknudsen.com are made to order unless otherwise stated. Please expect a lead time of 18-20 weeks to build, dry, fire and ship your order. For larger orders, the lead time can be up to 6 month. If you are interested in receiving a quote for estimated delivery time and costs please contact info@maleneknudsen.com

Malene Knudsen online shop offers worldwide shipping. You can also collect your purchase in Copenhagen to avoid shipping costs. Please just use the code “collect in studio” during check out to collect your piece from the studio. Please contact info@maleneknudsen.com to arrange the visit.


Returns and refunds 

Return of your purchase may be made within 14 days of receiving a piece purchased directly through maleneknudsen.com. If you wish to return a piece, it must be undamaged, unused and clean. Please email info@maleneknudsen.com before sending your piece back to confirm you are doing so. If you regret your purchase, please send or deliver the item to: Malene Knudsen, Wildersgade 11b st. tv, 1408 Copenhagen, Denmark.

Please inform of your shipping tracking number by email to info@maleneknudsen.com. You must return the item in the original packaging. You should also make sure that the item is properly wrapped when you return it. You carry the risk of the package yourself until it is received by Malene Knudsen. The costs associated with the return will be covered by you. The item must be shipped no later than 14 days after you have notified that you wish to cancel your purchase. Your refund will be credited to the same card used to make the original purchase. Private commissions and custom-made pieces cannot be returned or refunded.


Defects and complaints

The goods are insured in transit. Please verify the package and content upon receipt. In case of damaged items in transit, please email info@maleneknudsen.com within 24 hours of receiving the package with attached evidence photos. In case of a complaint or an order not delivered, please contact info@maleneknudsen.com


Colour and shape

All ceramic pieces are made by hand by Malene Knudsen in Copenhagen, Denmark. Each piece is carefully created with precision and personality and one of a kind. By its nature, it is imperfect and unique. Not two pieces are exactly the same and small variations in form, colour and finish will occur between pieces.

Every effort is made to ensure colours appear as realistic as possible. However, due to the constraints of digital reproduction on different web browsers, the exact colour depiction cannot be guaranteed. Please contact info@maleneknudsen.com if you would like to request colour samples.


Care and use

To care for your ceramic piece, please hand rinse your pieces. They are not dishwasher safe. Stoneware is a semi-porous material, so to prevent sweating and condensation on a surface, please allow the piece to dry out for at least a full day before refilling with water between uses. Stoneware pieces must be handled delicately to ensure that the items remain undamaged. Malene Knudsen is not responsible for broken pieces from mishandling. Depending on the surface you intend to place the ceramic piece on, you may wish to attach felt to the bottom of a sculpture. Malene Knudsen is not responsible for marks left on surfaces that vessels may leave due to the textured surface.

Malene Knudsen is committed to protecting your privacy. All information provided by you is received securely through SSL and will not be disclosed to any unauthorised third parties.


Governing law

The agreement to sell and purchase items from maleneknudsen.com shall in all respects be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, excluding the conflict of law rules.
